Diana Sevda Brown (in a happy bit of foreshadowing, Sevda in Turkish means ‘love’) is the founder and main point of contact for Happily Maui’d, attending to your every need with all the aloha they deserve. Born and raised in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, she first came to Maui in 2011 via an incentive program sponsored by the tech company at which she worked. Lovestruck from the moment she touched down, Diana stood in awe at the beauty of the island’s culture and scenery. She made a vow to come back and discover more of its natural wonder, returning several times over the ensuing years.
It was during one of these return voyages that she met Derek, the love of her life and future husband, while he was working on a boat. Derek asked her out on a date when she came back in 2016, and Cupid’s aim remains true as ever: after several adventures across Germany, Hawaii, and California Diana eventually relocated to the Valley Isle full-time with Derek on Valentine’s Day 2017. Hollywood hasn’t written a love story this compelling for ages! They currently live in Lahaina with their dog Pebbles, who also braved the move over from Germany. They enjoy hiking Maui’s spectacular trails and continually refining their practice of the culinary arts.
Diana created Happily Maui’d to help other couples experience the same enchantment that she has; to seamlessly match the beauty and commitment of love with the unparalleled splendor of Maui. She began by helping other planners to coordinate weddings before deciding to blaze her own trail in 2018. Together with their trusty office assistant Pebbles, Diana and her team specialize in wedding planning and day-of wedding coordination services at multiple venues across our magnificent island.
