Our handpicked Maui wedding ministers and officiants are both heartfelt and professional. Our preferred ministers perform beautiful ceremonies that you will remember for a lifetime.
Richardo Hanakoo, born on the island of Java, began officiating at weddings in Hawaii at the encouragement of friends and associates. They knew his special talent for communication and bringing people together. Now an ordained minister, here on Maui he is known for his warm and winning smile, his ability to touch people's hearts and minds with his words, and for his generosity and good humor. The wedding and commitment vows he has written have inspired many with the strength of his belief in the power of love.
Ordained by the Universal Life Church, Rev. Kuya’s non-denominational, interfaith wedding ceremony fuses traditional Hawaiian elements such as the Oli and Lei Chants and use of the Pu (Conch Shell) with Christian and Universal Spiritual Principles which pay tribute to the human divinity in us all. Reverend Kuya is known for his deeply empathic, soulful demeanor that rarely fails to moisten the eyes of the brides and grooms he is honored to marry. His easy and warmhearted style soothes even the most anxious couple’s nerves.
Reverend Joe Miles has been officiating on Maui since 2005 and he has always considered it a privilege to be a wedding officiant for it is a deep honor to share with couple their very special day. He views performing a wedding ceremony to be like watching a sunset for each ceremony is unique and beautiful and awe-inspiring, just as the couples are. Each couple deserves the care and attention that makes their wedding their own. This is one reason Joe is so open to customizing his ceremonies: He does everything he can to make it fitting and individual for each couple.
Kale has been a ceremonialist and celebrant for over 10 years, he loves bringing artistry to important moments for people. His approach is rooted in honoring ancestral lineages and holding space within these special moments, always prioritizing integrity and authenticity. He continues to carry the lessons and teachings he's gathered along the way, into every ceremony.
Kale's practice is deeply influenced by Indigenous cultural traditions, which he weaves seamlessly with contemporary elements to create ceremonies that resonate with modern couples and families that want to feel more connected to one another.
Lisa Porter is an ordained minister and a state licensed officiant. She is extremely flexible and is willing to tailor her ceremony to suit your special wishes and prayers. Reverend Lisa especially loves when people bring their own special touches to a wedding, and embraces cultural traditions from around the world, for instance she can start the ceremony by blowing her Triton shell and chanting the Oli Aloha , traditional to ancient Hawaiians, or you may add a Hawaiian Lei Exchange, a Handfasting Ritual ( the origin of the term " tying the knot"!) or you may crush a glass underfoot, or jump the broom. You may add any songs, prayers, readings or poems you like.
Born and raised on the beautiful Island of Maui, Rev. Valentine (Tino) Rosete truly represents the spirit of Aloha.
Tino, having been ordained through New Passion Ministries and having been a dedicated family man for many years, has built his life upon a foundation of love and devotion that is matched only by his commitment to providing the most heart-felt wedding ceremonies. Whether presiding over a large ceremony or simply joining a couple in matrimony on a secluded beach, Tino approaches every interaction with the individual attention and respect that it deserves. He feels truly blessed to do what he does, and he derives no greater pleasure than in the sharing of his faith and his Aloha spirit.
